As part of my new year plan, (I don’t do resolutions) I decided I would work on a blog. I had a few wobbles where I wondered who would want to read a blog I had written. Ok, so I’ll admit it was more than just a few wobbles, there was a full on avalanche of worries. I got over them by changing the way I think.
Change Your Thinking
I decided that, if people didn’t want to read what I was writing, they wouldn’t! You aren’t stupid and your time is valuable so if you don’t like something, you won’t waste your time on it. BUT…the right people WILL read it. The right people, my people (that means you, in case you were wondering) will read it and it just might be great!
The “Why” Of It
The whole point of my new year plan was that I wanted to share all the things I work on and some of the behind the scenes things that go on while I do it. So I figured the best way to do that would be to post them somewhere people could also see my work in the gallery or link to my shop if they were interested in working with me.
My Voice In The Dark
I’m here to tell you, it’s tough to put yourself out there. It’s like shoving a shy kid on stage and expecting them to shine. Not everyone is going to make it. I think the trick (if there is a trick) is to keep going even if you think you are yelling in to the abyss. You never know who’s listening.
